Understanding negative-stock flags
Last updated 2 June 2026
Hisaabkar flags an invoice line if it would sell more units of a product than you currently have recorded in stock. This is a signal to check what happened, not an error to ignore.
Common causes:
- A recent stock purchase or restock hasn't been entered yet.
- Stock was sold through another channel (in-store, WhatsApp order) and not yet recorded in Hisaabkar.
- An earlier stock count or adjustment was inaccurate.
To resolve it, either record the missing purchase/restock so stock is accurate before finalising the invoice, or adjust stock manually from Inventory → Stock Adjustment if the discrepancy is a one-off correction. Keeping on top of these flags keeps your FIFO cost layers, and therefore your profit reports, accurate.
