Reading the ageing report
Last updated 10 June 2026
The ageing report, found under Reports → Receivables Ageing, groups every customer's outstanding balance into buckets based on how long it's been unpaid — for example, current, 1-30 days, 31-60 days, 61-90 days, and 90+ days overdue.
Because payments are allocated FIFO (oldest invoice first), the ageing report reflects which invoices are genuinely still open rather than an average of all activity, making it a reliable way to spot customers who are falling behind before the balance grows too large to collect comfortably. Use it to prioritise follow-up calls or reminders on the oldest, largest balances first.
